The move is a short relocation rather than a brand-new market entry. The current branch at 8001 Wisconsin Avenue will close at 1:00 PM on March 6 before operations shift to the updated space just steps away. Customers should experience minimal disruption during the transition.
Citibank recently expanded its presence downtown with another branch at the Flats at Bethesda Avenue, signaling continued investment in the area’s growing residential and retail base.
With foot traffic strong along Wisconsin Avenue, some locals have even joked that pairing the branch with a nearby pizza or halal spot wouldn’t be a bad idea.
